Medium Frequency Induction Melting Furnace,also called Intermediate Frequency Induction Smelting Furnace,Medium Frequency Coreless Induction Melting Pot.
There are some kinds:Such as traditional KGPS SCR in Parallel Type,the new KGCL SCR in Series Type and IGBT in Series Type,etc.
But in terms of long time and high volume production,the traditional KGPS SCR Paralleling Type Medium Frequency Smelting System has the most stable quality and best performance,which is widely used in melting,casting,quenching and heating various steel,copper,aluminum,zinc and other metal material and their alloys,can also be used in the smelting and casting of gold,silver and other precious metals.
I.The Main Principle of Induction Melting Furnace
Medium frequency induction melting power source is one kind of electric circuit system which change the power frequency current from 50Hz or 60Hz AC to DC by the SCR three-phase bridge rectifier circuit system,then filtered by the filter reactor,finally be invertered from DC to adjustable single-phase medium frequency AC again,supply to the induction coil and induction furnace,actually the whole rectifier circuit system is one invertered process:AC-DC-AC.
The single-phase medium frequency ac current through induction coil of generate a large number of magnetic lines, the interacted magnetic lines and the metal material in the furnace produce induction current,and the interaction between the induction current and the resistance of the metal material in the furnace make the metallic material temperature rise,that is the eddy current phenomenon,and then heat and melt the metal to achieve the goal of forging and smelting the metal material in the furnace.
II.The Composition of Induction Melting Machine
The whole induction melting furnace system include the following main parts:
1.Medium Frequency Power Source,
2.Capacitor Box,
3.Melting Furnace,
4.Reduction Box Type or Hydraulic Type Furnace Toppling Device,
5.Graphite Crucible,or other kind of furnace whose furnace lining is made by Quartz Sand,Magnesite Sand,White Alundum,or other kinds of Fireproof Material,and their Crucible Molds,
6.Water-cooled Cables and their Connecting Copper Rows,
7.Water Cooling System,and so on.
III.The Main Characteristics of Induction Melting Equipment
1.Induction furnace system is run by electric energy,small volume,light weight,high efficiency,fast melting speed,and the furnace temperature is easy to be controlled,have good application effect in all metal industries.
2.The induction furnace can nearly melt all kinds of ferrous metal and non-ferrous metal,also their alloy.
3.Simple operation technology,reliable melting operation;Uniform heating temperature,less burning loss,good consistency of metal components,good casting quality.At present the capacity of induction melting furnace is already nearly hundred tons,can meet the needs of the mass production.
IV.Different Kinds of Induction Smelting Furnace
1.Aluminum Shell Furnace:Furnace shell is made by casting aluminum,small volume,light weight and low cost,suitable for melting and casting in a small way,especially less than 5ton.
2.Steel Shell Furnace:Furnace shell is welded by hard steel,low magnetic leakage,high efficiency,hard structure and frame,suitable for a large number of melting and mass production, especially more than 8ton.
V.Water Cooling System
1.Simple Type Natural Cooling Way:Water Tank or Water Pool + Pumps.Simple,convenient and practical,but natural heat dissipation,low efficiency,suitable for smaller furnace,the cooling water is easily polluted and block device waterway.
2.Closed Type Cooling Tower Water and Air Cooling Way:Water Tank + Water Pump+Air Cooling fan + Heat Exchanger.Cool the water inside the copper tube of heat exchanger by the air cooling fan to achieve the goal of cooling induction power source and furnace.Simple,convenient,safe,efficient,the first choice of modern smelting industry.
